Favre coming back is great for the fans of the NFL.  Even people who are not are not Vikings fans will now tune in to their games.  Last season many NFL fans who have no interest or use for the JETS including myself followed them.  Many cannot stand the drama to retire or not to retire but I don't mind and it will drive sales and ratings and that isn't a bad thing in this economic climate.
